INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose

The purpose of this Official Rulebook is to establish a clear and consistent framework for the organization and conduct of the DANA Open Bali Series. It outlines the regulations, procedures, and standards governing the tournament to ensure fair competition, sportsmanship, operational efficiency, and a safe playing environment for all participants. This Rulebook serves as the official reference for players, coaches, officials, tournament staff, and all parties involved in the event.

1.2 Organizer Authority

The Organizer holds full authority over the planning, administration, and operation of the DANA Open Bali Series. To ensure the successful delivery of the tournament, the Organizer reserves the right to:

• Establish and implement the Official Rulebook and tournament regulations.
• Confirm or amend the tournament schedule, match format, and event timetable when necessary.
• Resolve disputes and make decisions regarding tournament operations, player eligibility, and competition matters.
• Amend or update the Official Rulebook where required to maintain fairness, safety, and the integrity of the competition.
• Communicate any official updates, amendments, or announcements to participants through the Organizer's official communication channels.

All decisions made by the Organizer and the Tournament Director in relation to the administration and operation of the tournament shall be final and binding upon all participants.

COMPETITION

2.1 Event Overview

The DANA Open Bali Series is a premier padel tournament presented by DANA, designed to bring together competitive players in a professionally organized sporting event that promotes fair play, sportsmanship, and the continued growth of padel in Indonesia.

The tournament will take place on 29–30 August 2026 at Island Sport Canggu, Bali. All matches will be conducted in accordance with this Official Rulebook and the applicable Rules of Padel to ensure a fair, consistent, and enjoyable competition for all participants.

The Organizer is committed to delivering a high-quality tournament experience through professional event management, transparent competition procedures, and the application of consistent standards throughout the event.

2.2 Tournament Director & Management

The Organizer may appoint a Tournament Director to oversee the planning and administration. The Tournament Director is responsible for ensuring that the tournament is conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with this Official Rulebook.

The responsibilities of the Tournament Director include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing and approving the tournament format, competition system, and match regulations.
• Managing the draw and schedule in coordination with tournament committee.
• Decision-making regarding suspensions or delays (e.g., adverse weather).
• In the event of adverse weather, some match formats may be changed and/or shortened, or consolation draws may be cancelled. Main Draw matches will be prioritised. All efforts will be made to ensure no cancellations, but the completion of all main draw categories must be prioritised.
• Assisting in the player eligibility review and screening process to ensure participants compete in the appropriate category. Include reviewing and approving the tournament draw, competition bracket, and match schedule.
• Making final decisions regarding player reclassification or disqualification where a participant is found to be competing in an inappropriate category or in violation of the tournament regulations.
• Coordinating registrations and the flow of information among players, facilities, and officials.
• Ensuring that all matches are conducted in a fair, transparent, and professional manner.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to make tournament decisions that are considered necessary for the successful completion of the tournament.

2.3 Format Game

The standard match format for the DANA Open Bali Series shall be:

The final competition format, tournament bracket, and match schedule may be adjusted by the Organizer based on the number of confirmed participants in each category or other operational requirements. Any changes will be finalized and officially published prior to the commencement of the tournament.

Players shall be provided with a three (3) minute warm-up period immediately before the start of each match. Following the warm-up, play shall commence promptly upon the instruction of the organizer or Tournament Officials.

Any further adjustments to the match format or schedule due to weather conditions, technical issues, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances will be communicated to the affected participants before the commencement of the match.

2.4 Prizes

The total prize pool for the DANA Open Bali Series is USD 4,500, which will be awarded to the Champion and Runner-up in each competition category as follows:

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the prize distribution prior to the commencement of the tournament. Any changes will be officially communicated to all participants.

2.5 Categories & Qualification

The DANA Open Bali Series features the following competition categories:

Participants are responsible for registering in the category that accurately reflects their current playing level. The Organizer reserves the right to review and verify the eligibility of all participants before and throughout the tournament.

The general eligibility criteria for each category are as follows:

• Platinum is intended for advanced and high-performance players who regularly compete at the highest level.
• Gold Men is intended for experienced and competitive players who consistently perform at a high level but do not meet the Platinum category requirements.
• Silver Men and Silver Women are intended for intermediate players who have tournament experience and demonstrate consistent playing ability but are not yet at the Gold level.
• Bronze Men and Bronze Women are intended for upper beginner and lower-intermediate players with limited tournament experience. Players who have consistently achieved high results in Bronze-level tournaments or who demonstrate a playing level above the Bronze category are not eligible to compete in this division.

For the Platinum category, all foreign participants must hold a valid KITAS or another legally recognized long-term stay permit in Indonesia.

The Organizer reserves the right to request supporting information or conduct a player eligibility review at any stage of the tournament. Any participant found to have registered in a category below their actual playing level, provided false or misleading information during registration, or otherwise failed to meet the eligibility requirements may be disqualified from the tournament without refund, and any match results may be declared void at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

The decision of the Tournament Director regarding player eligibility and category classification shall be final and binding.

2.6 Draw

The official Tournament Draw will be automatically generated by the tournament system using a random draw process to ensure fairness and impartiality. The draw is conducted without any manual intervention or influence from any party.

Once finalized, the official tournament schedule, groupings (where applicable), and tournament bracket will be published on the official tournament website at danapadelopen.id and Instagram account of @domaine.events.

Participants are responsible for regularly checking the official website for the latest information regarding the match schedule, groupings, tournament bracket, court assignments, and any official announcements or updates issued by the Organizer.

Any changes to the published schedule, groupings, or tournament bracket may only be made under exceptional circumstances and with the approval of the Tournament Director. Any such changes will be communicated through the official tournament website.

TECHNICAL

The Tournament Director reserves the right to make operational decisions on matters not specifically addressed in this Rulebook whenever necessary to ensure the fair, safe, and timely completion of the tournament.

In the event of adverse weather or other operational circumstances, the Tournament Director may shorten match formats, modify the competition format, or adjust the Order of Play to ensure the successful completion of the tournament.

3.1 General Rundown

The DANA Open Bali Series will be conducted over two (2) competition days, from 29–30 August 2026. On Day 1 (29 August 2026), tournament activities will commence with player registration and check-in, followed by the opening round of competition. Matches will continue throughout the day with scheduled operational breaks as determined by the Organizer.

On Day 2 (30 August 2026), player registration and check-in will reopen prior to the commencement of matches. The competition will continue with the remaining final rounds, leading to the Championship Finals for all categories.

Following the completion of the Final Matches, the tournament will conclude with the Awarding Ceremony, during which trophies and prizes will be presented to the Champion and Runner-up of each competition category.

The Organizer reserves the right to adjust the tournament schedule, order of play, or operational timeline as necessary. Any updates or changes will be communicated through the official tournament website and other official communication channels.

3.2 Match Procedures

Players must arrive and complete the check-in process at least thirty (30) minutes before their scheduled match time. Participants are responsible for being present and ready to play when called by the Tournament Officials.

Prior to the start of each match, players will be provided with a three (3) minute warm-up period. Upon completion of the warm-up, the match shall commence immediately as instructed by the Organizer or Tournament Officials.

To ensure fair playing conditions, players shall change ends of the court after every odd-numbered game (e.g., after the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th game, and so on), regardless of the match format. Players must change ends promptly without causing unnecessary delays to the match.

3.3 Group Stage Standings

During the Group Stage, each match result contributes to the team's overall standing. Group rankings shall be determined in the following order:

• Total Match Points Earned.
• Game Difference.
• Head-to-Head Result (if applicable).
• Drawing of Lots by the Tournament Director (if required).

Live match scores, group standings, and qualification status will be updated throughout the tournament via the official scoring system. The information will be displayed on the live scoring screens (TV displays) at the venue and published on the official tournament website (danapadelopen.id). Participants are responsible for regularly checking these official channels for the latest scores, standings, match schedules, and tournament updates.

CODE OF CONDUCT

4.1 General Principles

All participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and respect throughout the tournament. Every player, coach, and accredited person shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and contribute to a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action by the Tournament Director or Organizer.

4.2 Player Conduct

Players are expected to behave respectfully at all times during the tournament. Participants shall:

• Respect opponents, teammates, officials, tournament staff, volunteers, and spectators.
• Comply with all instructions given by the Tournament Director and Organizer.
• Arrive on time and be prepared to compete according to the official schedule.
• Refrain from using abusive, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening language or behaviour.
• Avoid any action that may damage the reputation of the tournament or the sport of padel.

Players are responsible for their own conduct both on and off the court throughout the duration of the tournament.

4.3 Violations & Penalties

Any participant found to have violated this Rulebook or engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct may be subject to disciplinary measures.

Violations may include, but are not limited to:

• Unsportsmanlike behaviour.
• Verbal abuse towards opponents, officials, staff, or spectators.
• Physical aggression or threatening behaviour.
• Deliberate racket, ball, or equipment abuse.
• Unsporting delays or refusal to continue a match.
• Providing false information during registration or player verification.
• Competing in an inappropriate category or intentionally misrepresenting playing level.

Depending on the severity of the offence, penalties may include:

• Verbal Warning
• Official Warning
• Point Penalty
• Game Penalty
• Match Default
• Disqualification from the tournament
• Suspension from future tournaments organized by the Organizer

4.4 Sportsmanship

All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship before, during, and after every match.

Players shall:

• Respect the outcome of each match.
• Accept organizer decisions respectfully.
• Shake hands with opponents and officials at the conclusion of each match.
• Promote fair play and encourage a positive competitive environment.

Unsportsmanlike conduct that negatively affects the tournament atmosphere may result in disciplinary action.

4.5 Disciplinary Actions

The Tournament Director has the authority to investigate and address any breach of this Official Rulebook.

Where appropriate, disciplinary decisions shall take into consideration the seriousness of the offence, previous misconduct, and the overall impact on the tournament.

All disciplinary decisions made by the Tournament Director in consultation with the committee shall be final and binding. The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is considered detrimental to the safety, integrity, or reputation of the DANA Open Bali Series.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

5.1 Registration, Withdrawal & Replacement

Players must complete the registration process and submit all required information before the registration deadline. An entry will only be confirmed once the registration requirements and payment obligations have been fulfilled.

Any request for withdrawal or partner replacement must be submitted to the Organizer before the published deadline. Requests received after the deadline may not be accepted, except under exceptional circumstances and subject to the approval of the Tournament Director.

The Organizer reserves the right to determine whether a replacement player is eligible to compete in the registered category.

5.2 Injury & Medical Time-Out

A player who suffers an injury or medical condition during a match may request one (1) Medical Time-Out per match, subject to the approval of the Tournament Director or designated Tournament Official.

The Medical Time-Out shall not exceed three (3) minutes from the commencement of treatment. If the player is unable to resume play within the permitted time, the match may be declared retired, and the opposing pair shall be awarded the match.

In exceptional circumstances where immediate medical assessment is required to ensure player safety, the Tournament Director may, at their sole discretion, extend the Medical Time-Out or suspend play as deemed necessary.

The decision of the Tournament Director shall be final and binding upon all participants.

Medical Time-Outs shall not be used for recovery from normal fatigue, loss of physical condition, or to gain a competitive advantage.

5.3 Match Schedule Policy

The published match schedule is an estimated Order of Play and may be adjusted by the Organizer due to operational requirements, match durations, weather conditions, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Players are responsible for regularly checking the latest match schedule, court assignments, and official announcements through the tournament's official communication channels.

Matches may start earlier or later than the published time. Players are expected to remain available throughout the tournament and be ready to compete when called by the Tournament Officials.

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Order of Play, court assignments, and match schedule at any time to ensure the smooth operation of the tournament.

5.4 Protests & Disputes

Any protest regarding tournament administration, player eligibility, or competition matters must be submitted directly to the Tournament Director through the Player Liaison Officer.

The Tournament Director shall review the matter and issue a final decision, which shall be binding on all participants.

5.5 Media & Photography Right

By participating in the DANA Open Bali Series, all players grant the Organizer the right to photograph, film, record, and use their name, image, likeness, voice, and match footage for tournament documentation, promotional activities, media coverage, and communication purposes.

The Organizer may publish tournament-related content through its official website, social media platforms, and other official communication channels.

The Organizer is committed to respecting the privacy and dignity of all participants and will not intentionally publish or distribute any photographs or video recordings that are considered inappropriate, offensive, or expose participants in a vulgar or indecent manner.

5.6 Liability

Players participate in the tournament entirely at their own risk.

The Organizer, venue, sponsors, tournament officials, and all of the committee, shall not be held responsible for any injury, illness, accident, personal loss, theft, or damage to property that may occur before, during, or after the tournament.

Participants are responsible for safeguarding their own personal belongings throughout the event.

5.7 Force Majeure

The Organizer reserves the right to adjust, postpone, suspend, or cancel any match or part of the tournament due to adverse weather conditions, technical issues, safety concerns, venue-related matters, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the Organizer's reasonable control.

Where necessary, the Tournament Director may modify the match schedule, court assignments, or competition format to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the tournament.

All decisions made by the Organizer and the Tournament Director under such circumstances shall be final and binding upon all participants.

5.8 Final Authority

The Organizer reserves the right to interpret, amend, or supplement this Official Rulebook whenever necessary to ensure the fair and efficient operation of the tournament.

Any matter not specifically covered by this Rulebook shall be decided by the Tournament Director and the Organizer. All decisions made in relation to tournament operations, player eligibility, disciplinary matters, and competition management shall be final and binding upon all participants.

5.9 Personal Data & Privacy

Participants acknowledge and agree that their personal data will be collected and processed solely for purposes related to the administration and operation of the DANA Open Bali Series, including player registration, verification, scheduling, tournament management, communication, and prize administration.

The security and protection of participants' personal data shall be the responsibility of DANA INDONESIA and shall be managed in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations on personal data protection in Indonesia.
